Frequently asked questions
When will Tabsnap be available?
Tabsnap is live right now in public beta on TestFlight for iPhone. The full version is expected in the App Store later this year.
Do my friends need to download Tabsnap too?
No. Friends open a simple link or QR code and join straight from their browser. No download and no account needed on their side.
How long do Tabsnap links stay active?
Payment links and join links both stay active for 14 days, the same as a Tikkie. If a link has expired, the host can reactivate it from the bill and the exact same link works again. Friends who joined with the Tabsnap app keep access to the bill either way.
How does Tabsnap handle shared items?
You can split any item across the people who shared it. Each person only pays their part, and the tip is divided proportionally, so a shared bottle of wine or a plate of fries is always split fairly.
How accurate is the receipt scanning?
Tabsnap reads the items and prices from your receipt automatically and is accurate on most receipts. You can always review and edit any item before you split, so the final bill is exactly right.
How does payment work in Tabsnap?
You add your own payment link, like a Tikkie, Bunq, or bank request, and friends pay you directly through it. Tabsnap keeps track of who has paid so you never have to chase anyone. Direct payment inside Tabsnap is the next step on our roadmap.
